 About the role
 We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate Housing&nbsp; Manager to lead one of our housing with care services at MHA. This is a senior management role with responsibility for the overall performance of the service, including housing management, support, maintenance, catering and administration.
 As Housing Manager, you will ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred support in a safe, well-managed and welcoming environment. You will lead and develop staff teams, work closely with residents, families and external partners, and ensure the service meets all regulatory, quality and financial requirements in line with MHA’s values.
 What you will do
 <ul>
 <li>Take overall responsibility for the efficient running of the service, including housing management, care and support, maintenance, catering and administration.</li>
 <li>Lead, manage and develop staff teams through effective recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and training.</li>
 <li>Ensure high-quality care and support planning is in place, reviewed regularly and delivered in a person-centred way.</li>
 <li>Maintain robust housing management systems, including void management, sign-ups, resident inductions and arrears management.</li>
 <li>Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and involvement in decision-making.</li>
 <li>Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, health &amp; safety, food safety and infection prevention requirements.</li>
 <li>Manage and monitor the service budget, ensuring financial viability and sustainability.</li>
 <li>Build strong relationships with residents, families, volunteers, local authorities and external agencies.</li>
 <li>Develop community links and promote the scheme within the local area, including engagement with minority and under-represented groups.</li>
 <li>Participate in an on-call rota and travel occasionally for meetings, assessments or training.</li>
 </ul>
 About you
 We are looking for a confident and values-led leader with experience of managing housing services.
 You will bring:
 <ul>
 <li>Experience of working in a care setting at a senior or supervisory level.</li>
 <li>Experience of managing staff teams, including supervision, appraisal, training and performance management.</li>
 <li>Experience of managing budgets and financial plans.</li>
 <li>Knowledge of housing management and welfare benefits.</li>
 <li>Awareness of best practice in dementia care and supporting older people with increasing physical and emotional needs.</li>
 <li>Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.</li>
 <li>Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft products.</li>
 <li>A flexible approach to work, including on-call duties and occasional travel.</li>
 <li>A relevant managerial qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4 or Registered Managers Award) is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this.</li>
