 About the role
 We are looking for a calm, caring and reliable Duty Officer to join our team at MHA. This is a key role within our housing scheme, helping to ensure residents feel safe, supported and able to live independently, day and night.
 As a Duty Officer, you will support the Housing Manager in the day-to-day running of the scheme, provide a reassuring point of contact for residents and respond appropriately to emergencies. You will play an important part in promoting wellbeing, safety and community life, while respecting residents’ dignity, privacy and choices.
 What you will do
 <ul>
 <li>Support the Housing Manager with the day-to-day running of the scheme, ensuring high standards are maintained.</li>
 <li>Provide emergency assistance 24 hours a day, responding in person and contacting external services where required.</li>
 <li>Welcome new residents and support them to settle into the community.</li>
 <li>Respond to resident and building emergencies in a calm, professional and reassuring manner.</li>
 <li>Provide a front-of-house service, welcoming visitors to the scheme.</li>
 <li>Support and facilitate social and group activities to enhance residents’ wellbeing and reduce isolation.</li>
 <li>Carry out wellbeing assessments and regular check-ins with residents who require additional support.</li>
 <li>Complete daily calls or visits to residents as required, accurately recording and sharing any concerns.</li>
 <li>Promote the safe use of facilities and support residents to access local services and community resources.</li>
 <li>Work to a rolling rota, which may include nights and weekends.</li>
 </ul>
 About you
 We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and able to remain calm under pressure.
 You will bring:
 <ul>
 <li>A genuine interest in supporting older people and improving quality of life.</li>
 <li>Strong organisational skills, including record keeping and report writing.</li>
 <li>Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
 <li>The ability to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative.</li>
 <li>An understanding of the impact of loneliness and isolation on wellbeing.</li>
 <li>A flexible approach to work, including working a rota pattern.</li>
 <li>Experience working with older people or in a housing or support setting is desirable, and training will be provided.</li>
